• Diode laser transscleral retinopexy has been shown to be safer and more effective than diathermy or cryo.
• Diode laser transscleral cyclophotocoagulation uses the deep penetration of the 810 nm wavelength through the sclera to the ciliary body
to reduce production of aqueous humour.• In the presence of blood or dense opacities, the 810 nm wavelength enables transocular or endocular retinal photocoagulation.
• Initially developed for the treatment of ocular tumors, transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT) has also proven efficacy in the treatment of occult choroidal neovascularization (ARMD). Iridis includes a dedicated software for these various procedures thanks to a close collaboration with top clinical institutes.
