• Diode laser transscleral retinopexy has been shown to be safer and more effective than diathermy or cryo.
• Diode laser transscleral cyclophotocoagulation uses the deep penetration of the 810 nm wavelength through the sclera to the ciliary bodyto reduce production of aqueous humour.
• In the presence of blood or dense opacities, the 810 nm wavelength enables transocular or endocular retinal photocoagulation.
• Initially developed for the treatment of ocular tumors, transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT) has also proven efficacy in the treatment of occult choroidal neovascularization (ARMD). Iridis includes a dedicated software for these various procedures thanks to a close collaboration with top clinical institutes.
